Family Law Property Valuation

Family Court-compliant property valuations for divorce and separation proceedings in NSW. Our certified valuers provide independent assessments accepted by courts, the ATO, and all major lenders.

"Every family law valuation we prepare is personally inspected by a Certified Practising Valuer. We provide independent, unbiased assessments that you can rely on for your legal, financial, or tax matter."

— Malcolm Craig CPV, Director

Property valuations for family law proceedings are among the most sensitive and consequential valuations we provide. When a marriage or de facto relationship ends, the accurate, independent assessment of property assets is essential to a fair division.

Our family law valuations comply with the requirements of the Family Law Act 1975 and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. They are prepared by Certified Practising Valuers experienced in providing evidence in family law proceedings and, where required, acting as single expert witnesses.

Joint retainer valuations: We regularly accept joint instructions from both parties' family lawyers — a single valuation prepared on a joint retainer reduces costs, minimises conflict, and is generally more readily accepted by both parties and the court.

Date-effective valuations: Family law settlements sometimes require valuations as at a past date — for instance, when the separation date differs significantly from the settlement date. Our certified valuers can prepare retrospective assessments to accurately reflect what a property was worth at any specified historic date.

Disputed valuations: Where parties cannot agree on a joint valuer, we can be appointed as a single expert by court order, providing a genuinely independent assessment that the court can rely on with confidence.

We value all residential and investment property types throughout metropolitan and greater Sydney, including houses, apartments, rural-residential properties, and commercial real estate where it forms part of the family asset pool.
